Wendy
Granville Island Veterinary Hospital Technicians - Wendy

A skilled registered animal health technologist from Kamloops, Wendy joined our team in 2002. She has worked in every aspect of the hospital, giving much needed support to our night team, helping out the nurses and receptionists, and regulating our inventory of supplies. Wendy brings a ray of sunshine every day she comes to work; whether she is taking care of healthy puppies and kittens, nursing a sick patient, or anesthetizing someone for surgery, everyone benefits from her great attitude and exceptional attention to detail.

Lori
Granville Island Veterinary Hospital Technicians - Lori

Lori first came to Granville Island as a practicum student in April 2007 and once completed, we had to keep her!  She is a NAIT, Fairview graduate and completed the Animal Health Technology Program in May 2007.  She loves all aspects of the profession but has a particular interest in Surgery and Dentistry.

Originally from Victoria, Lori has settled here in Vancouver with her cats, Mister, Raine, and Penelope Jane (yes she is a bit of a cat lady!)  However, she does love Boston Terriers and hopes to have her own one day!

Nadia
Granville Island Veterinary Hospital Technicians - Nadia

Born and raised in Vancouver, Nadia first joined our team in 2005. She graduated from the Animal Health Technology program at Thompson Rivers University. She proved to be an asset in a short period of time, but she dreamed of working in a zoo. At the end of 2006, she drove across the USA, with her dog Faith to live and work in Baltimore, Maryland. Although she adored her exotic patients, she missed Vancouver. Almost six years later, she has returned home to raise her son in the city she loves and has returned to our hospital!

She loves animal of all sizes and hopes to adopt a bearded dragon. She loves spending time with her family, friends and her shepherd mix, Faith.

Kelly
Granville Island Veterinary Hospital Technicians - Kelly and Kipper

Kelly graduated from Thompson Rivers University in 2013 and joined our team as a Registered Veterinary Technologist in 2014.  After spending a few years in the Okanagan, she is happy to be back home and thoroughly loving her career.

Kelly began volunteering with the Canadian Animal Assistance Team on a spay/neuter clinic in a remote Northwest Vancouver Island community.  The experience was tremendously rewarding, and she plans to continue with more trips in the future.

At home, Kelly has two cats, "Marcus" and "BC", both rescued as strays in the Okanagan.

Angela joined us in January 2012; she graduated from Thompson Rivers University Animal Health Technology Program in 2008. Angela moved from Victoria where she worked at a mixed exoctic practice where she gained experience with birds, rabbits and reptiles. Angela has gained a passion for dentistry and radiology since becoming a Technician, but enjoys all aspects of working in a Veterinary Hospital.

She loves being back in Vancouver where she can enjoy snowboarding, spending time with family and friends and exploring the city.

Lizzie

Originally from the UK, Lizzie moved to Vancouver in 2009 where she completed her training as a Registered Veterinary Technician. Lizzie joined our team in August of 2014; she loves her job and has a keen interest in anesthesia and dentistry.

When Lizzie isn't working she's kept busy by her husband, daughter, two cats and dog. She also volunteers her time with the Canadian Animal Assistance Team, and looks forward to working on future projects both domestically and internationally.

Kaitlyn

Kaitlyn joined our team in October of 2014; she graduated from the St. Clair College Veterinary Technician program in 2011. Kaitlyn moved to BC from Ontario where she worked at a 24 hour emergency hospital. She started there as a full time receptionist in 2008, and later enrolled into the local Vet Tech program. She enjoyed working at a high paced hospital, but later realized that she needed to expand her career and try something new, so she packed her bags and moved to Vancouver. She then became a full time Registered Veterinary Technician at our hospital and has been a great asset since!
