Buddy our loving minature schnauzer was neutered here and the doctor and staff were wonderful and very concerning. I recommend people who care for their animals to use granville island veternary as they are the best in the business.

My (sensitive) 9 year old multi-poo and I have been a client/patient with the veterinarians of the Granville Island Hospital since bringing her home as a pup. Three times they have held the clinic open AFTER hours for me to rush in with emergency needs. (a severe allergic reaction as a puppy, a pancreatic attack, and most recently chocolate poisoning, and years previously for our cat) Mocha and I have consistently been treated with understanding and kindness, in addition to receiving expert and thorough medical treatment. The 24 hour care given by all of the staff has on several occasions helped both Mocha and I to get through the night. Knowing Mocha is being treated and checked on when in the hospital overnight by a caring night nurse is frankly, invaluable.

My Cully had been cared for by Dr. Clark for many years. Dr. Clark put Cully (and me) at ease from our very first visit with his gentle and caring manner. Recently, Cully was introduced to Dr. Ignacio. Dr. Ignacio proved to be a compassionate and skillful doctor as well. He was also able to explain the medical aspects of Cully’s condition in a way that was understandable. Last, but most certainly not least, the women of the clinic - the technicians, nurses and receptionists provided such wonderful care for Cully (and emotionally for me!). On my visits, I witnessed their remarkable love for the animals that were entrusted to their care. I know that Cully received the best care throughout his life and very extra special attention during his last days. I can’t thank-you all enough.

I was so impressed by the genuine concern and kindness expressed towards my cat Nutmeg, and also towards myself. During Nutmeg’s 4 day stay at GIVH I felt completely confident that she was getting the best care available. Dr. Tara Huggins and the entire staff were extremely competant and helpful. The staff also allowed me to visit with Nutmeg on a daily basis which made the separation much more bearable. I really felt that every part of the staff completely understood the bond between a pet and their owner. Thank you all soooo much.

My experience with the Granville Island Veterinary Hospital has been terrific. The entire staff have been wonderful. In recent months my dog Chloe (the boy dog) has been receiving treatment for severe allergies under the care of Dr. Bill Ignacio. He has been so kind and extremely helpful. I have total confidence in all the staff at GIVH...from the Vet assistants at the reception area to the ladies who give Chloe his nail trims. I highly recommend this clinic for all services.
