Angie

I visited Vancouver on a whim back in 1991 and never left. It’s true, the west is the best. I puttered around for a few years going in every direction, when finally I learned of a new veterinary assistant course. I, of course, jumped at the chance, having always had a passion for animals. The first day of class I knew that this was something I’d love and excel at…. ten years later, I’m still here. I travel as much as possible, but BC is now home to me. I live happily with my two rugged chihuahuas Taz and Chai and two great cats, Leroy and Cubee.

Ashleigh

I moved to Vancouver from Banff, Alberta in May, 2007 and love it!! Being originally from Ottawa, I've been progressively moving west since 2002. I have to agree that the west is the best! With me, I brought my wonderful kitten named Freshie (aka: G Fresh). When I'm not working I enjoy going to the beach, being outside, dancing and just vegging out.

Jordie

Jordie grew up in the Vancouver area and naturally decided to attend UBC in the Pre-Veterinary Medicine Program. She has always had a passion for animals, so working at a veterinary hospital is a perfect fit! Outside of work, Jordie enjoys travel, Harry Potter novels, and the Animal Planet Channel. In the summer of 2008, she is trekking to South Africa to volunteer with Vervet monkeys and large felines! She has four cats (Bounce, Bistro, Fresca, and Leo) and hopes to add many more animals to her menagerie. Her experience at Granville Island Veterinary Hospital has been teaching her so much as she one day she hopes to be a successful surgical veterinarian.

Muriel

After 4 wonderful years working for Disneyland Resort Paris, Muriel decided to leave beautiful France to fulfill her dream of settling in Canada. Why in Vancouver? She says, If you live here you know why! With a new life comes a new job and working in the animal health care field is something she's always wanted to do... and now really loves to do! Of course she’d be happy to help you in French if you like! When she’s not at work, Muriel likes to travel and do as many outdoor activities as possible to enjoy the surrounding nature. She misses her family dog Iggy Pop and her bunny boy Zebulon as they had to stay in France. But here in Canada, she's adopted a wonderful cat named Whinnie, she’s the best cat ever!

Robbin - Receptionist

Robbin

Hailing from Edmonton, Robbin's experience in the restaurant business has made her a true asset in the reception area of Granville Island Veterinary Hospital over the past 3 years. Her cool calmness never ceases to appease client's every need. Robbin has fun driving in to work to enjoy her job, her co-workers, and the patients at Granville Island Veterinary Hospital especially if she drives in on her favorite new ride: her Harley. Solomon is the lucky cat that gets to call Robbin his 'Mom'. (Photo: Robbin and our clinic cat Felix)

Lisa

I was born and raised in the Vancouver area. Currently I now reside in White Rock with my husband Mark and our 2 English Mastiffs, Bubba and Titian. With such a strong love for the breed, eventually i would like to have a Mastiff rescue. When I am not working, I enjoy going to the beach with my pups, working out, camping and travelling.
